Customer Relation Consultant

Department
Business Development & Sales

Do you have crazy people skills and are you an excellent communicator – then look no further!

What we do

You’ve seen Facebook, WhatsApp, Google and the likes. While we’re sort of in the same space, we address the concept of information sharing and people connecting from a very different angle. We do Big Data digital profiling across multiple platforms from anywhere on the net. We are an open data platform available in both a Web version and eventually as a Mobile App sitting on top of a Big Data model. The applications for our data model are vast, including a share and explore possibility, and protection against ransomware and phishing attempts.

First of all, we’d like to state: We’re not for everyone. We aim to change the world and we attract professionals who thrive in such an environment.

We’re situated in the intersection of where Silicon Valley meets Denmark. We possess the former’s zest for world dominance, we have a global perspective, and we’re a mishmash of world citizens. Our Danishness is evident in the fact that we are skilled, highly innovative and perpetually challenge conventions.

Who you are

We are looking for a Customer Relations Consultant to enter into our world of customer engagement on a worldwide scale. We want you to help us create and nurture long-term relationships with our customers. We’ll rely on you to find ways to outperform our competition and maintain our company’s positive image. Our focus is on customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention and you will be on the front line of fulfilling this goal. Our customer base will be worldwide with you handling everything from our office in Copenhagen. We expect you to have strong oral and written communication skills in English, but whether you are fluent in Danish is less important. However, proficiency in other languages is considered a plus.

In this role, you should be an excellent communicator who’s able to grasp customer needs and brainstorm ways to fulfill them. Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) practices is a must. If you also have a background in customer service/customer handling from a tech company, we’d really like to meet you.

Your goal will be to help us grow our revenue and retain our customers.

However – and most importantly – you fit into our culture.

We’re growing fast and as such, things change rapidly around here. You’re structured and strive for perfection but you thrive in an ever-changing environment with multiple tasks.

We’re a young company so you’ll be able to affect and develop both your own position and our product portfolio. Heck, if your ideas are good enough (and we know you get them), you’ll even be able to affect the company. We don’t believe in hierarchy, so if your idea is CEO worthy, go to our CEO.

We love all types of people, no matter your color or gender, and mean it when we say you don't have to speak Danish. The working language at Ocean is English and you will have several colleagues that are still learning how to say “fredagsbar”.

If you have any questions please contact us at sb@ocean.io.

step-two

Your first week

From the day you join Ocean.io, you will have a dedicated buddy (possibly our word wizard on the left) showing you where we hide our snacks, explaining how to work the coffee maker and answer all your questions from A to Z.

Your buddy will also introduce you to the rest of the crew and let you know what’s what on our social intranet, Aloha™, where you’ll find everything from news updates to pictures from our last company getaway.

step three

Your everyday

We’re pretty relaxed about a lot of stuff, but there are a few things we are quite adamant about. The following perks and benefits are never up to debate.

Equipment nerds rejoice!

We totally get that having the right equipment to work with makes all the difference. Dedicated Mac-lover? Avid Windows-user? Regardless, you name it, we buy it.

High expectations = great rewards

We expect much of our employees, but we also make sure it’s worth the effort. We offer competitive salaries simply because we don’t really have time for second best.

We pay you to relax. True story

You’ll be devoting the majority of your waking hours to Ocean.io, but we don’t want work to be your whole life. To prove we mean it, we pay you while you’re on holiday.

Get smarter every single day

We’ve made a habit of sending our employees to conferences, courses, and meetups that can expand their horizons and make all of us a little wiser. We think it’s a win-win.

Need an office break?

We totally understand that sometimes you’d rather work from home just wearing sweatpants and a worn out tee. If that makes you happy, it makes us happy too.

That sweet sustenance

Brain power requires fuel – and lots of it. We provide lunch everyday (regardless of your dietary preferences) and our kitchen is always fully stocked with snacks and drinks.

Share in our growth

We offer everyone employee stock option plans. That way, you can share in our growth and benefit financially from all your hard work in more than just one way.

Socialize till you drop

Today a foosball tournament, tomorrow a music quiz. We always encourage team members to come up with unexpected ways to make our offices a happy place to hang.

Coaching and mentoring

Every new crew member is matched with a buddy as part of our onboarding program, but the mentoring doesn’t stop there. We’re big on real-time feedback and recognition.

step three

Your new team

Our people make us who we are. Awesome.
